1 · Who stands behind the assessment

Responsible by name for the methodology and for every output is Martin Michalíček, founder of bessaudit.com. He signs every Quick check and every full due diligence personally. He knows the energy sector from all three sides of the table: from a utility (ČEZ, including M&A transactions above EUR 500 million), from technology suppliers (ABB / Hitachi Energy, Siemens, Honeywell) and from developers and owners (SOLEK Group, CTP Energy). He is a certified energy consultant and energy manager.

That is exactly why he knows what a quote written by a supplier looks like and what assumptions it rests on.

2 · We don't sell technology

We don't sell batteries, we don't install them, we are not an aggregator and we don't trade electricity. We don't run operations and we don't design siting. Which battery you buy and from whom earns us nothing through the assessment.

3 · What it is calculated from: the Three-Band Method

The procedure has a name, a version and a date so that it can be checked. The Three-Band Method (v1.0, 23 September 2026) rests on five rules:

The fourth rule: a bad result is shown — a negative NPV, a sub-threshold DSCR and a missing input are as visible as a good result. The fifth: if a source is missing, nothing is calculated, and instead of an estimate it says “undetermined”.

4 · When the assessment comes out unfavourably for the supplier

It comes out unfavourably. The result is not rewritten, not softened and not issued in a “commercial” version.

• If you order the assessment yourself, you receive all of it and the supplier does not see it until you hand it over yourself.
• If an installer or another third party orders it, the output states who commissioned it. If a contract or non-disclosure agreement rules that out, the output at least states that a third party commissioned it. A more favourable version cannot be ordered: different inputs mean a new calculation with a new fingerprint, and both can be traced.
• The price does not depend on whether the assessment comes out “worth it” or “not worth it”. You pay according to the price list.

5 · Who earns from it — and the ties we disclose

• We are paid only by the investor or whoever commissioned the assessment. We take nothing for the assessment or for brokering a specific contract from technology suppliers, from installers acting as suppliers, or from aggregators.
• Two ways to pay — you choose. Either the fixed price from the price list, or half the fixed price plus a success fee of 10% of the documented saving (capped at three times the reduced fee): if you negotiate a better price with the assessment in hand, you pay the contractually agreed share of the difference between the quote before and after. The reduced fee is always payable, even if no saving arises. The success fee is never calculated from how good the project looks in the model — only from a saving that can be documented.
• The platform under an installer's brand. Installers can rent bessaudit as software (partner licence, price list) and calculate under their own brand. Such an output is not our assessment: it carries no signature, it carries the sentence “This is not an independent assessment”, and the licence is paid for the software — not for an assessment, a recommendation or a ranking in the marketplace.
• Marketplace. When we connect you, at your request, with a supplier, financing or an aggregator, the commission is paid by you as the investor or the commissioning client — not by the one we recommend. You know the rate in advance from the the price list. The assessment does not recommend a particular supplier.
• Ties. bessaudit.com is operated by Sun.Energy Holding s.r.o. Martin Michalíček also owns a separate company, sun.Energy Group s.r.o., which installs and services photovoltaics. The following rule therefore applies: we do not assess projects where the supplier is a company with a tie to us. If a client nevertheless wanted an assessment of such a project, we would state the tie on the first page of the output.

6 · What the assessment is not

It is not a statutory energy assessment under Czech Act No. 406/2000 Coll. or an energy performance certificate. It is not legal, investment or tax advice and it is not a certificate of technology quality. It is a calculation of your battery's economics from public data, with the name of the person who stands behind it.
